Asbestos is best known for its role in causing mesothelioma, a rare and deadly form of cancer that develops mainly in the lungs. Although we now know about its dangers, it was a popular building material as recently as 1990. Due to its fire-resistant nature, it was used in insulation, shingles, ceiling tiles, and even cement.
The government of Ontario has announced its intention to implement electric school busses in the province. Electric vehicles have been growing in popularity for the past few years, and that enthusiasm has spread to school busses. In fact, there are currently 100 electric school busses in use across North America, including Quebec.
Over the summer, negotiations began in Washington, D.C., to discuss the future of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Shortened to NAFTA, this agreement facilitates trade between the three biggest nations on the North American continent: Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America.
