The Board of Trustees, for the Peel District School Board, voted to shut down and repurpose Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School at a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 24th, 2017. The trustees approved the Pupil Accommodation Review (PAR) which focused on major secondary schools south of highway 401.
On Friday, February 24th, students of Gordon Graydon were silent for the entire day as part of the We Are Silent event, held by the Me to We Club. Many students paid their respects by taking an oath of silence for people who are in worse conditions than others, wearing a small tag to indicate their solemn promise.

The Graydon Robotics team competed in the 2017 Ryerson University District Championship from March 10th to March 12th, and also participated in the more recent Ontario District Georgian College event from March 24th to March 26th.
The Hurontario LRT is a brand-new infrastructure project that is fully funded by the Province of Ontario. At a total cost of $1.4 billion dollars, the new light-rail transit (LRT) system will relieve the chronic overcrowding situation for Mississauga’s busiest bus route, the 19 Hurontario.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration and refugees, the so-called “Muslim Ban,” sparked outrage and protest all over the world. However, the executive order, which restricted entry from seven Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East for a period of ninety days, has since been halted by federal judges.
