On April 27th, students from all grades across Gordon Graydon participated in Graydon’s Got Talent 2017. Although each and every act was worthy of an award, Faraz Ali, Maxmillian Estabillo, Odinma Oduah, Sabrina Lin, and Jodi Ho were chosen as the winners of the talent show.
Gordon Graydon’s Model UN Club recently attended the Southern Ontario Model United Nations Conference (SOMA), which ran from Wednesday April 19th to Friday April 21st. SOMA is an annual assembly of various Model United Nations student groups from high schools all around Canada and the US. The event was hosted by the University of Toronto and organized by university students.
On Friday, February 24th, students of Gordon Graydon were silent for the entire day as part of the We Are Silent event, held by the Me to We Club. Many students paid their respects by taking an oath of silence for people who are in worse conditions than others, wearing a small tag to indicate their solemn promise.
The Graydon Robotics team competed in the 2017 Ryerson University District Championship from March 10th to March 12th, and also participated in the more recent Ontario District Georgian College event from March 24th to March 26th.
From November 18th to the 20th, students from the Model United Nations Club of Gordon Graydon participated in the sixth annual Secondary School Interactive Crisis Simulation (SSICSim) at the University Toronto’s downtown St. George campus. SSICSim is a special Model UN conference where students represent various characters and delegations who come together in different committees to solve world issues.
